Russian for Beginners

What will you say the first time you’re called on in class? How will you ask for directions to the gym? Or the library? How will you let someone know that you’re new to speaking Russian?

We’ve assembled a few survival phrases that will help you navigate your first several days on campus. These are helpful in just about any situation, but will be especially useful right after you take the Language Pledge.

We’ve divided the Russian for Beginners lessons into different sections, from essentials to more complex expressions. On each page, you’ll be presented with a list of phrases and then a quiz to test yourself.
